Prehnite: Deep Lore & Mystical Properties

**Brief Description:** Prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate mineral known for its light yellow or green hues and globular formations. It serves as a powerful heart chakra stone that aligns the heart with personal will, encouraging one to lead with the heart and pursue their deepest desires.

### Science & Origin of Prehnite

Prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate mineral that forms as masses, globular shapes, botryoidal structures, and stalactites. While rare, it can also occur as tiny prismatic crystals. Prehnite typically displays colors of light yellow or green but can also be white, tan, grey, or colorless. This mineral was first identified in 1788 by A.G. Werner, who named it in honor of Hendrik Von Prehn, a Dutch military colonel who oversaw the region where it was found. Prehnite has since been discovered in various locations worldwide, including China, Scotland, Australia, the United States, and New Zealand. A notable discovery occurred in 2000 at the N'chwaning mine in South Africa, where an exceptionally rare pocket of orange Prehnite was found. By 2002, this vein was depleted, and orange Prehnite remains elusive.
